Max Head

Max Head is an Executive Recruiter at Elray Search specializing in leadership recruiting across the aerospace, defense, satellite, government contracting, and advanced manufacturing sectors. He partners with growing companies to identify and secure top-tier talent across operations, general management, program and contract management, business development, accounting and finance, human resources, and executive leadership.

Before transitioning into executive search, Max built a career spanning international sales, business development, and account management with organizations including Procore Technologies, Integrated Procurement Technologies, and Sensata Technologies. His experience leading complex aerospace and defense sales initiatives, negotiating multimillion-dollar contracts, and developing global business strategies gives him firsthand insight into the challenges his clients face and the qualities that define exceptional leaders. He leverages that commercial and operational experience to deliver strategic executive search solutions for both clients and candidates.

Max earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business from Boise State University, where he graduated as the Outstanding Graduate in International Business. During his time at Boise State, he founded and served as President of the International Business Organization, completed internships with the Idaho Department of Commerce’s International Business Division and the Office of U.S. Senator Jim Risch, and participated in the Export Excellence and International Business Mentorship programs.

Outside of work, Max enjoys sailing along the Santa Barbara coast, training for the occasional half marathon, traveling internationally, and spending time with his lovely fiancée and their dog Sailor Girl.
